SMITH-DOUGLAS-MORE HOUSE

Smith-Douglas-More House

< Previous Project........ Next Project>

Eden Prairie, Minnesota

The Smith-Douglas-More House is one of the few historic structures remaining in Eden Prairie. Built in 1877, the farmhouse served as a home for the Smith and Douglas families, who also welcomed borders from the nearby railroad station. In the 1950s, electricity was added to the home by its occupants. In 2002, the renovated house was re-opened as a Dunn Brothers coffee shop.

As part of this transition, the house needed structural stabilization; electrical, HVAC, fire suppression and security system upgrades; selected exterior repairs and the resolution of site drainage issues. Interior renovation work and improvements to the site design were also necessary.
